The Member Spotlight Shines on Welcome to the NH MGMA's Member Spotlight. The Member Spotlight page is designed to introduce our members to each other and to provide more personal details than you might learn about our members from a brief contact during one of our monthly meetings. Sharon Sullivan Scaramella Sharon Sullivan Scaramella has been a member of both National and New Hampshire MGMA for over 20 years. Sharon received her RN Nursing Degree from the Sacred Heart Hospital, School of Nursing in Manchester, NH. She received her B.A. in Behavioral Science from Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH and then her M.S. in Administration from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts. Sharon has over 20 years of experience in healthcare administration in New Hampshire. The positions she’s held have included Manager of the Pediatric & Pediatric Subspecialties Departments at Hitchcock Clinic, Manager of Health Care Services for Tufts Health Plan, Director of Practice Administration for Elliot Health Systems and Vice President of Patient Care Services at Monadnock Community Hospital. Currently, Sharon is working as a self-employed consultant in the areas of practice operations and leadership mentoring for managers and physicians. Sharon finds this type of work gives her the best opportunity to live a balanced life. “My husband and I enjoy traveling and have especially enjoyed exploring various parts of Europe. As my husband retires this year, we look forward to traveling at a more leisurely pace and completing some renovations around the house. We have a blended family with my daughter, his three daughters, son and their partners. We also are privileged to have 7 grandchildren. We love having all 17 together for weekend holidays.” “My professional accomplishments that make me most proud are of developing managers. I have the ability to see people's strengths and work with them to improve their competence and confidence.” Sharon served as the 2005 President of NH MGMA and remains active as a Past-President, helping to facilitate the Board of Directors’ strategic planning initiative, ongoing Board recruitment and succession planning, as well as program development. Clearly Sharon Sullivan Scaramella has the experience, dedication, and expertise to exemplify medical practice administration. She is, for those of us who work with her, a role model.
